Since the begining of the World Wide Web, every website has an “about” page which explains why the site is there and who's behind it, along as other details such as software, resources and sexy details personal information.

About the man

Rémi Prévost ― the one who's writing is own mini-bio ― is a 18-year old web designer/developer. He's currently studying at Cégep de Sainte-Foy in Multimedia Integration.

As a new-generation web designer/developper, he knows the importance of web standards, accessibilty, flexibility, usability and good user experience.

He is currently involved in many projects on the web, including those:

  • Wikipédia, the free online encyclopedia, where he's known as Remi.
  • Élyste, a french weblog on modern web, of which he's the co-founder and the original ideator.
  • Esthetika, a french webzine on desktop customization, where he is one of the staff member.
  • WordPress Codex, the online wiki/documentation about WordPress, where he's known as Remi.
  • exomel, his famous selfish blog, where he is the one who is bloggin' (didn't you know that?).

About the site

The weblog runs on WordPress 1.5. And a bit of home-made code using LAMP (Linux+Apache+MySQL+PHP)

About the design

The theme “Cherry” Applemint was designed by us with Adobe Photoshop and then ported to WordPress. We got inspired by Shaun Inman's June 11th 2005 redesign named “infin8”, and Michael Heilemann two-days design, named “Vader”.

  • The font used in the header image is “Arena Condensed” downloaded at goodfonts.org.
  • You can use the styleswitcher at the bottom to switch between liquid and fixed-width layout.
  • Every browser created by Microsoft is unsupported. Firefox is.
  • The picture in the header is a collage that is made with pictures I took during my second trip to New York City, on May 2005. You can view a set of all pictures taken on this trip at Flickr.

Every pixel found under the domain "exomel.com" is owned by Remi Prevost, and no one else. You may not reproduce any graphic parts of this site without an explicit autorization from the author. However, every text part of this site is licensed under this Creative Commons license.

Everything posted on this website only reflects the opinions of the author, Remi Prevost, and consequently, not his employer's or anyone else. However, each comment posted on this website is owned by its author. However again, no comment posted on this website will be modified; but any comment can be deleted if I decides it's not appropriate.
