More code!

I added Pie IRC Client by pogrelz to my Code page. It’s an open-source project so you can learn about the code and customize it. Like pogrelz said, it’s also a good way to learn about IRC and stuff. Thanks to pogz :)

Also, I added a link to b0se’s Visual Styles because I use them on my desktop very often, and I wanted to share this with you! Hey, he is a 2-medals-yet winner at the GUI Olympics competition, that’s not bad at all!

Comments (again), driver license and icons…

Yeah, it seems that I accidentally deleted the news talking about comments, and thus, all the comments posted on it. I’ll summarize what the news was talking about anyway.

You can now post comments on my *blog* entries. Why does a blog exist if it’s not ti get comments on what you think? I was afraid that addind a comment form will mess up my XHTML, but everything seems OK.

Also, I changed the site icon. Cute, isn’t it? And I updated the links section. And I had some mini-banners in the ‘Infos’ box, to replace the old text links. I also fixed the code to display correctly, again, in Internet Explorer.

Now, for today entry. Just want to inform you that I recieve my ‘real’ driver license, the plastified (is it a real word? anyway… covered with plastic) one.

Take care and enjoy life!

XHTML (no-more-?!?) Part 2

I removed the iBox from the layout and *surprise*, XHTML valid! I’m happy with this now, and I’m gonna change (read: remove) some lines in the about page ;)

As you may see, I didn’t leave a big space under the menu by putting a information panel-like. Also, with this font, it looks much better, doesn’t it?

XHTML ?!?

Yes you’ve read it. XHTML markup on these pages? How can it be possible? I don’t know! Seriously, I just changed the doctype of my pages, and it seems that they are almost XHTML 1.0 Transitional Valid expect for one thing that I can’t understand. I only get 1 error! So if you can tell what that error means, email me or say it in the iBox!

So if you see in the about page that my pages are not XHTML valid because I don’t have time to validate them, it’s almost false.

Enjoy!

English Test + Redesign

So, this site has to act like my blog, so I’m gonna post here all the moments I enjoy in my life! I had a english rating test today at Cegep Ste-Foy. They do that to rate all the students to put the more bilingual ones in a single group. I hope I won’t be in a low-rated group…

Also, here are some site I suggest you to visit (Their design are nice but they look like each other…) anyway,

And I re-designed the site a little bit to display correct rounded rectanles on IE, thanks to ALA! The design is CSS 2.0 valid. But it’s not HTML 4.01 valid anymore… I don’t know what I did to unvalidate it…

XP Visual Styles

As read on #pixelarmy topic, I just discovered the power of Windows XP Visual Styles. When I got my PC, I was entirely satisfied with the classic Windows interface, which was reminding me my win98 days… and I knew I had to got a software named StyleXP to apply XP Styles. But I recently found a way not to use it.

It’s a small patcher that do all the job for you. You install it, and it will patch Windows so you’ll be able to use XP Styles.

Download it here: UXTheme Patcher.

I currently use the style ‘ONatural’ by b0se.

Sasser, a german virus?

“German police arrested a 18-year-old high school student on suspicion of creating and spreading the Sasser internet worm, which infected an estimated number of 18 millions computers last week.”

Found on Neowin

Personally, I did all my update because I know it’s kind of hard to remove those worms. I got Blaster and now I’m trying to keep those away from my computer. You should try too ;)

Really Compliant now!!!

Ok now! It’s serious. After the complaints of [extatic] saying that my site was rendered in Standard Compliance Mode by FireFox, but it wasn’t really compliant (like valid at W3C validator)… now it is! I know it’s not XHTML but it’s old HTML 4.01 Transitional and it’s valid! I want not to hear any complaints anymore!!! ;)
