Elections result and blog amelioration!

Canada Governement will stay liberal, that’s what Radio-Canada told us at 22h22 50secs yesterday night. Well… I think that’s the best it could have happened, even for Paul Martin and for us.

Also, comments are re-opened! And in bonus, pages are now displayed in menu as directories. Hopefully all is working ;)

He! Ho! A List Apart issue 184 has been released.. with only one single article inside..

Problems with the blog

Well… it seems like I had to disable the comments for the entries. That’s because of a problem with Cutenews. Few peoples used to comment anyway… Hopefully, I may fix the bug before the end of the week. But I won’t have a lot of time because I just got a new job. See ya!

Canada Elections 2004

Tomorrow, June the 28th, is the federal elections day in Canada. Only 18+ years old can vote. I’m 17, so I’ll have to wait another 4 years. Well… 2 years since the next provincial elections.

Have a nice vote! :)

Sidebar Links

I have to make a sort of “misc links” in the sidebar to put some interesting links instead of posting them in the blog. I have to work on it.

Update: So in 10 minutes, I coded a little Cutenews module that I will use to display my interesting links in the sidebar. Now let’s go on Google to find some good ones ;)

What a night! (again?)

Yes, again. That’s the second night in a row that I go to bed at 4am. That’s because it was Saint-Jean-Baptiste party yesterday night at Les Plaines d’Abraham. It was pretty cool, but we didn’t stay there for too long because we were kind of tired because of the prom the night before ;)

By the way, if you want to know what is the Saint-Jean-Baptiste, it’s the Canada Day, but for Quebec only ;) It’s the day we’re showing that we’re proud to come from and live in Quebec. Hello to all Quebecois out there!

For the occasion, I may write a small multi-language script for the site, to make it bilingual, in english and in french. Check on extdesk to see the “power” of a multi-language system.

Update: Prom pictures are here!

What a night!

My prom was yesterday night, at the Hotel Qubec. It was pretty cool. We danced and drank a lot, but at least, we were sleeping at the hotel so it didn’t matter whether we drank alcohol or not.

I wish it would have been perfect though.

P.S.- I’m eager to post the pictures we took during the night!

Gmail, here I come!

I just got a Gmail invite. Gmail is the new electronic mail service by Google. Just have to wait a few hours to get it activated :)

Update: After testing Gmail for few minutes I have to say that it’s cool. Hehe I know I sound like “I’m-the-first-to-have-a-gmail-account”, but I know a lot of people tested it some weeks (maybe months) ago.

Correct dotted borders in Internet Explorer

Maybe you ever noticed that “dotted” borders are displayed like dashed borders in IE. Here’s my solution:

a {
 background: URL(dotted.gif) repeat-x bottom;
}

With the image dotted.gif placed in the same folder as your style sheet.

No more school for 2 months!

YAY!!! School is over! I did my last exam today! It’s was Physical one, and it was quite easy. Anyway, the summer is beginning and the prom is in… wait… what?!? 4 days?!? It will be probably the last time I’ll see some of my classmates for the next 5 years…

P.S.- At first I wanted to title this entry “unset($school);” but iMike has already used it for an entry posted like 2 months ago… You know me, I’m not a title ripper ;)

Enjoy life! I and Marj passed our Maths exam! :)
