I wouldn’t call it a redesign ;)

I ripped this title from SimpleBits :P Again yes, I modified the design of the site. The new header is a part of a wallpaper made by qoa. There are also some things that I have to do, like make it centered in the browser’s window. What do you think of it?

P.S.: You are still able to switch back to the old style with the two buttons at the left :)

Update: the ‘column’ layout is now center correctly in IE and FireFox. Thanks to CSS :)

Final exams week is beginning!

Well… like at each school year’s end, it’s the final exams week. I did my chemistry exam today, and there’s the maths and the english one tomorrow :( Yeah, that’s the last time I have to “live” this type of week, ‘cause it won’t be the same thing next year.

I also found this little treasure, Eric Meyer’s CSS gallery. There are a lot of experiments of CSS techniques. Let’s see how you can use valid CSS techniques to replace old javascript scripts or old methods.

Also, SimpleBits had a little redesign, even if it’s not called a redesign by its author, Dan Cerderholm.

At last, Design by Fire explains why you should care about web standards. Read the article.

Life is running so fast!

My prom is in 12 days! I’m so eager to be there :) And only 6 days of school left before the end of Secondary School, which americans call High School. So now, I’m setting my mind on my summer projects, and the life I’ll have after this summer.

I’ll be living at Ste-Foy, which is at 45 minutes from the place where I’m typing these words, next year, and the two years after too. I’ll only be able to post entries on what I’ll be doing, and maybe show screenshots of what I’ll be creating at school. I expect those 3 years to be especially fun!

I promise to post some pictures of my prom in this very site ;) It’s on June 22th.

P.S. - This is not a type of “last post”, not at all, just a message to tell you what’s happening in my life.

P.S.2- My english sucks, I know it.

Fresh air!

There were some interesting news on the web, since I came here. I was inactive for the last, maybe, 3 days!? I missed some “events” like the launch of the new StopDesign layout and design.

Also, the WaSP made a survey, to know what people thinks about web standards, like XHTML and CSS. It’s quite fun and interesting to answer. View the WaSP survey.

Finally, the Web Standards Group asked 10 [crucial] questions to Dan Cederholm, the webmaster of SimpleBits. Read the article, 10 questions to Dan Cederholm.

And also, congrats to the Tampa Bay Lightning, who has won the Stanley Cup. See NHL.com

Montreal, this weekend

Me and my family are going to see some cousins, uncles and aunts at Montreal this weekend. My father and my uncle will go to the Beer Festival while I’ll go shopping. So, I wanted to update the design before leaving.

New logo, new header. I only need to make an icon similar to the logo. Enjoy your weekend!

By the way, mIRC 6.15 has been released. Not much new stuff, but it’s still good to be up-to-date to be protected from exploits such as the one we saw in last October.

Finally, I’d like to know what you think about those changes in the design. Thanks.

June is here!

That’s it. We are in month of june. Only 6 days of school left in the year, a part from the final exams. I’m kinda excited for the prom, which will stands on June 22th.

Another news is that Zeldman.com celebrates its ninth birthday! That’s pretty special for a website! It’s opened since May 31th 1995!! I wish that my site will be able to stay for this time. But I won’t be able to modify its code during the 3 next years, I’ll be only able to post blog entries, which is sufficient, in my opinion.

Anyway, I’m not actually leaving! Ifiz will remains until Pixelarmy remains. Well.. it depends on my host.

So, as I say at the end of each entry: “Enjoy!”
