Fahrenheit 9/11, my late review

Like most of the time, I see popular movies few weeks after they are first released in theaters. So I went to see Fahrenheit 9/11, the “new” Michael Moore’s movie about Georges W. Bush conflicts of interests, failures, mistakes, etc…

The movie it-self is good, but sometimes Moore gives way too much infos to destroy Bush credibility, making me think that the movie contains a lot of useless sequences, though I agreeded to Moore’s opinions, most of the time. In the last sequence, Moore is with the mother of a U.S. soldier who has been killed in Irak. Maybe Moore’s trying to play with spectators emotions with that sad part of the movie.

I encouraged you to see this movie, especially if you are an american and you’ll be able to vote in the next U.S.A. elections :) Unfortunately, I won’t be able to.Though iIn Canada, we have 2 elections day per 4 years… It’s just enough!

And by the way, though it’s completly un-related to F9/11, I just found out that there is a cross-site script exploit in CuteNews 1.3.1 and also, the fact that it has been fixed in 1.3.2. But another fact is that I didn’t upgrade to 1.3.2 because my Cutenew files are way too altered, so I’d have to re-alter them, which I don’t want to. So I just stayed with 1.3.1 and fixed the exploit by my-self :)

TypePad attempt

I got a 30 days trial at TypePad. So here’s my typepad’s blog: http://remi.typepad.com. Although I don’t think I’ll ever pay for weblog that is not fully customizable when I could use my website as a blog, for free.

TypePad is great though!

Big Project

I’m trying to write an article good enough to be published on ALA. I don’t think they’ll take me seriously. However, I’ll try to make something that is interesting to read. But I won’t revel the topic here :)

Stay tuned, like we say in english.
Restez à l’antenne, like we do in french :)

By the way, just want to say that I was offline for 24 hours in a row yesterday. It happens rarely. But I had to do over-time last week, and consequently my favorites had to ben done before connectiong to the Internet, like reading and playing tennis :)

My Cutenews

As requested by no one… I show you what my Cutenews page looks like. It’s a skin I’ve made with (almost-valid) CSS and non-valid HTML. Who cares about standards used on a page only me is going to see? Tell me what you think about that skin :)

Grayscale, simple, nice isn’t it? ;)

Update: Cutenews is © copyright Flexer. http://www.cutephp.com

Happy Birthday to me!

Well… not to me…. but to my site!!! On the 8th of July 2003, I launched what has became ifiz today, “fizzy > some mirc and modz stuff”. It was a site dedicated to the mIRC addons I was coding. Unfortunately, I don’t have any screenshot of the first release to show you, maybe some of you remember the old black and white design, which was quite original and simple. I liked it very much.

After that, I purchased ifiz.net but my host gave up and it didn’t give me the information about DNS and such, to get the domain again.

But on April 29th, after some weeks being offline, Chris accepted to host ifiz, the new fizzy. Now talking about Customization and Web Design, I think it’s the best blend I could made.

So I hope you enjoy ifiz as I enjoy creating it! Take care ;) Read the same boring story in one year! :)

Lucky Luke in Quebec

The next adventure of the well-known comic belgian cowboy, Lucky Luke, will take place in Quebec Province, mine :) Maybe you never heard of him, I think it’s because I don’t think his adventures were published in english, so if you have ever read him in english, tell me! So, his next book will be in Quebec, and he’ll meet *cough* stars *cough* like Celine Dion and other popular folks. He’ll also taste Poutine, our typical food :)

I hope this album will be great, and I’ll probably buy it… or download it from Peer to Peer… nah just kidding :P

Also, there’s an archives section, no need to say what it does.

Spider-Man 2

Wow! I just watched Spider-Man 2 last evening and it was incredible! The scenario was very good and the actors’ play was awesome. Kirsten Dunst was err… pretty beautiful! Tobey Maguire is also very good.

But the thing that I liked the most was the special effects. All the fighting sequences in the air between buildings were so realistics!

Globally, this sequel is far better than the first Spider-Man movie. Like movies critics said, it’s a great blend of emotion and action. One of the best movies of the year! Bravo! :D

Oh and by the way, happy 4th of July to all Americans out there! :)

For the occasion, I made a new header image, and a new thing when you click on the ‘Canada’ button at your left.

Enjoy that small holiday, everyone!
