Standards at school 2
I’ll go back to school on Monday the 17th, and I’m eager to know which things we’ll study. Our Programming Language teacher told us that since the program was started, in 1999 I think, they thaught to her student non valid HTML with Javascript not using any DOM valid references. We began to learn XHTML Transitional with Javascript based on the getElementById() function.
Our Media Management teacher told us that during all those years, he thaught Table based layout design to his students. But he told us that things will change this year. With the rise of web standards, all the teachers realised that their student should be up-to-date with the latest technology. So we — and maybe I — should learn CSS design.
I’m quite eager to know if those two teachers won’t be afraid to break the routine they had for 6 years of non-standard productions. Because in the first half of the year, they stayed with their old methods, especially with the tables based layout design. I don’t want to use tables anymore!
