Strike 1

Students from the Cégep de Ste-Foy — and consequently, me — are on strike. Which means:

  • No school until we vote for stopping the strike or if we get what we want ($103,000,000 were taken from the Student Financial Help program’s budget. Students want them back.).
  • No more computer for me. I don’t have a computer at my secondary apartment — only at school.
  • A longer term.

Super Mario World 8

Super Mario World screen captureI just found an old SNES emulator on a CD and I found my-self addicted to the game “Super Mario World”. What a video game! That’s one of my classic video game.

It’s amazing to see all the secret places and things you can discover… I think I’ve been to every place the game has… I guess.

Anyone else loved that game? Or what are the video games you’d qualify as classic ones?

Local computer technician 6

Are you like me? If someone in your family or in your friends has a problem with his computer (virus, worm, devices that are not working), you are the one who has to fix it. Because you are the local geek, the local computer technician.

I am… But I’m not complaining about it; it’s cool to make those people happy, because they know nothing about computers.

And you leave their house by saying — Never accept .exe, .pif, .bat or .scr files from MSN Messenger…

Buying a t-shirt

The title says it all. I want to buy a T-shirt on the web, with a Paypal account, not a credit card. I found great ones with the help of Preshrunk, but all the t-shirts I like need to be bought using a credit card, which I can’t use.

So, any suggestions? Could be anything… as long as it’s nifty.

Update: I found a friend who has a credit card and will pay for me. So, all t-shirts are welcome! Thanks Guillaume!

USB Key 2

I received an USB key (a Sony USM-D) for my birthday. And I realized that keeping projects for school and other documents on a CD-RW is so 2001.

You know…

  1. Insert disc
  2. Copy files
  3. Work on files
  4. Erase disc
  5. Burn rewritable disc

… wasn’t fun.

18 9

This is the post where you should say “Happy Birthday!” or “I don’t care about your birthday”. Thank you.

Oh and by the way, the entry’s title; it’s my age.

He was fired 1

My favorite radio show lost his main ‘animator’ this morning. He was fired. Sad.

Can you be fired for telling evil mean things about people? Can you also be fired for telling the truth about politicians? Can you also be fired for saying loud what 444,000 people, here in Quebec City, think?

It seems that yes, you can.

Like he said, he didn’t have the “license to kill” like some individuals in Quebec have.

I’m an X.

Design Eye for the Idea Guy 2

This website has been done by Keith, Ryan, Paul, Andrei, and Cameron during the SxSW festival. Amazing colours. Amazine layout. Amazing… all. That was worth an entry.

I need to make a “slick and soft” design like that.

SxSW, I’m not there!

And I wish I would be there… After seeing this photo set from Brian Behrend, I thought Oh well! I wish I was there to meet those famous web designers (read: idols). I’d love to meet Matthew Mullenweg, because without him, I wouldn’t be able to type those words.

But I’m just 17. But 18 in three days. But I know I won’t receive an airplane ticket for Austin, TX as a gift.

Update: Oh… Just noticed that the festival ends today.
